Whinfell School is included in the Autism Accreditation Register of the National Autistic Society (NAS).
The Autism Accreditaion programme was created by the NAS with support from the Department of Health and has been a fundamental factor in the
successful expansion of quality services for people with autism throughout the UK.
“The mission of the Autism Accreditation programme is to improve the quality of provision for people with an autistic spectrum disorder:
by providing a unified standard of excellence in both policy and practice by presenting a systematic framework for continuous self-examination and development;
and by ensuring that services registered with the programme are given guidance and support in order to meet the established criteria required for accredited status.”
